Finally! My boat arrived in Coimbra today, I can truly say what a relief it was when I took my first steps off the Pinta. The feel of solid ground and stone under my wavering feet was something I had missed dearly in those months at sea. Though now that I am here I find I have yet to find my way as I have spent the past day and a half wandering these docks and speaking with the locals and any soldier who appears willing to speak. The customs here are much different then that which I was raised in. Men clad in armor wielding bulky hunks of steel, and rifles. Have people here forgotten that a mans might is measured in his ability at hand to hand? Then again these people have been through much these past years with the wars.

Yech! What a foul taste! How could one eat such a foul creation? This man they call Nunez....He claims to be in command of the pioneering effort in Coimbra but he spends his time creating these....monstrosities that will continue to plague my stomach for the next several days I am sure. I can't say I can truely hate him for it but testing these creations on unsuspectings travelers is a fate I wouldn't wish on anymore who would follow my footsteps to this land.
